Wattopjedak is a trusted installer of solar panels and energy storage systems, dedicated to helping homeowners in the Netherlands achieve energy independence and sustainability. Wattopjedak did not have any marketing strategy in place and was buying expensive low-quality leads from local lead generators like Solvari that were also sold to their competitors. At the same time the sustainable industry in the Netherlands was experiencing a huge downturn of 70% with solar companies filing for bankruptcy left and right.
Due to the market conditions and deteriorating profit margins, we knew that we had to increase the average order value (AOV) for Wattopjedak in order to turn the tide. We crafted a unique marketing strategy for Wattopjedak to penetrate the emerging B2B market for energy storage systems, and also generated high-quality leads for the B2C market for solar panel and home energy storage installations.
We developed a unique and targeted ad strategy for Wattopjedak and were able to make them independent from lead generators (e.g. Solvari), as well as increasing their AOV from €8.000 to around €25.000. To date, our approach has successfully generated at least 278 leads.
